Point of difference: You don’t see Tempranillo much in South Africa. It’s a big favourite in Spain, especially Rioja. If you enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and Pinot Noir for elegance, this one will feel right up your alley.
We source our fruit from a lesser-known wine region: the Lower Duivenhoks River.
Tempranillo is an early ripener and it loves time in oak. Because it ripens early, it keeps higher acidity. We work gently with the grapes in the cellar to keep tannins smooth and avoid anything too green or harsh.
Leathery and spicy, with savory and tobacco notes and a touch of earthiness. Then comes the fruit: black cherry, plum, and a hint of refined raspberry. All of it rounded out by integrated oak.
It’s great with roast lamb, aged cheese, and all those classic Spanish-style dishes
